Montana Unemployment Application Obama Credit Card Bailout Information
In the present economic downturn, more people are finding themselves without a regular income from a job. If you are unemployed in Montana, you may be eligible for unemployment benefits. Recently, legislation passed in Montana that offers claimants an additional $25 per week on top of whatever amount they previously were receiving. To successfully apply for unemployment benefits, you must be currently unemployed (through no fault of your own), and must be actively seeking work (which means you must be available and able). You may file your application online at ui4u.mt.gov or at a local claim office, and if you qualify for benefits, you must continue searching for a job even while you file your biweekly claims.

Depending on your personal circumstances, you may be eligible for a few hundred dollars each week. As of December 2008, unemployment benefits ranged from $114 to $386 per week. Your personal income in your last job will help determine how much you will receive. Further considerations, such as whether you received a disability through a job-related accident, may mean you are eligible for additional funds. For example, if you have a permanent total disability from your last job, you may be eligible for up to $439 per week for the duration of the disability.
