New York Unemployment Application
New York residents can claim their unemployment benefits either online or through the Telephone Claims Center, which is available on 1-888-209-8124 or on 1-877-205-3119 for TYY/TDD users.
All other users except those who currently reside in Canada or whose most recent employer has a Canadian address can apply using the online form. However, the New York State Department of Labor advises that not all forms may be 100% available to fill out online, and depending on your circumstances, you might be prompted to call the Claims Center itself to clarify details.

The system requires you to enter your Social Security number to log in, as well as set a personal pin code to protect your account.
Claims can be made between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm Eastern Standard Time from Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 am to 5:00 pm on Friday. Unlike many other states, the New York application service is also available all day Saturday and Sunday until 7:00 pm.
Your claim will only be accepted if you have worked less than four days within the week and have earned less than $405 in gross pay.
