Pennsylvania Unemployment Application
Unemployment claims in the state of Pennsylvania are usually made online using the Online Unemployment Compensation (UC) service at the department of Labor and Industry site. The site requires you to log in with your social security number, even if you just wish to use the site for information purposes. The site can be accessed here: https://www.paclaims.state.pa.us/UCEN/Login.asp.
Applications can be filled at any point during the week providing you have not worked that week or have worked less than your normal, full-time hours. Your Social Security Number, a home address, and your current employer’s complete name and address are all required.

If access to the Internet is not possible or the online forms are not working for you, you can download a form depending on your individual circumstances from http://www.dli.state.pa.us/landi/cwp/view.asp?a=363&Q=238122&landiPNavCtr=|&TNID=1044#1044, which can then be mailed or faxed back to the office.
Alternatively, you can arrange your claim over the telephone by calling 1-888-313-7284. Opening times for the call center vary depending on the area, though they are usually open between 7am and 6:45pm Monday through Friday. Call volumes can be quite high to this service, since this is unfortunately the only option for non-English speaking workers and those who otherwise need help filling in the paper form.
