Tennessee Unemployment Application
You can file a Tennessee unemployment application by Internet, phone, or at your local claims center. Some counties require that you file for benefits in person. All information outlined here can be accessed at www.tennesseeanytime.org/labor. To file a Tennessee unemployment application online, go to www.tennesseeanytiime.org/labor. Filing times on the Internet are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to midnight and on Sunday from 8:00 am to midnight. Online filing in TN is not available on Saturday. If you do not have access to a computer, you can use the computers at your local Tennessee Career Center to file a Tennessee unemployment application online.
To file a Tennessee unemployment application by phone, you must use a touch tone phone. Telephone service is available at all TN Career Center locations by asking a front desk representative for assistance. The preferred days to call for a Tennessee unemployment application are Wednesday through Friday since these days usually have a lower call volume: the numbers to call are 615-253-0800 or toll free 1-877-813-0950 outside of Nashville, Tennessee.

Tenessee Benefit offices are open Monday through Friday, except holidays, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Unemployment Insurance Claims center is open Monday through Friday, except holidays, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. The address for the Unemployment Claims Insurance center is PO Box 280870, Nashville, TN. 37228-0870. Some counties require that you file a Tennessee unemployment application in person at an Unemployment Insurance Claims office. These counties include Shelby, Fayette, Lauderdale, and Tipton counties.
