Claimants interested in filing a West Virginia unemployment application must do so in person at a physical location accepting applications for processing.

There are seventeen offices where applications are presently accepted and processed; for a listing of the latter offices and locations potential claimants can visit:

All of the offices have hours of operations consisting of 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday and from 9 am to 5 pm on Fridays.  When applying for benefits the claimant will require his or her social security card, driver’s license, a DD Form 214 if a former member of the military, immigration paperwork if one is an immigrant and the claimant will need to provide information about the last 18 months of employment.
